Schipperke

While going through my bodybox in search of somthing to customize I found this little chihuahua by puppy in my pocket, but it was missing it's ear. So I grabbed my dog breed book and turned the pages until I came across a Schipperke. It's a belgian dog breed that is considered to be the smallest herding dog.

The mold's appearance fits the breed quite well. So I started customizing. Here's a WIP picture of the doggie compared to the original.

While waiting for the clay to dry I thought it was sad that the Schipperke was all alone... So I decided to make him a friend : )

The clay is not the one I usually use for sculpting so the results aren't optimal, but I'm happy enough.

Sheepdog and Lynx

 I did these small repaints some weeks ago. They were in my bodybox for some time so I'm glad they're finally finished :)

The left one is an Old English Sheepdog, a younger one (the one I mention in this post). And the right one is a lynx (you might remeber). I'm thinking about giving him some nylon hair ear plumes to make him more realistic.

A little update

So after a long time of posting nothing I though it should be time to post something again. I've been working on a tiger repaint using a very neat tutorial on STS. It's almost finished, but the progress is very slowly...

Anyway, here's picture:

Also, just like last year, I joined the STS cm swap so I'll be looking for a good mold to customize. I'm very much looking forward to customizing and seeing all the creative artworks others will create! So stay tuned! (I'll try to upload up-to-date picutes ;) )

To Hungary!

No, not me. I went on holiday to England. But my first aardwolf copy is going to Hungary.
I designed a special little box and card for him to make it look more professional and as I'm an industrial design student it has to look professional ofcourse ;)

I was too stubborn to look up a template of a box so I just tried out a lot with paper and I very pleased with the result. I'm going to use this design next time too.

 As for the card. I chose for a simple layout, basically just a print of a drawing I drew and on which I based my sculpture. I had some trouble with the printer... but eventually I managed to print it on textured paper.

More Fennec fox WIP

I've be working on my little big ear yesterday, enjoy some pictures:

Aren't fennec foxes one of the cutest creatures? Well I thought so, and so I started sculpting :D
While sculpting the ears I was constantly suprised about the size of them. I had to make them bigger each time... I think they're the right size now.

Don't mind the bend leg too much.. I thought such a small animal wouldn't need a wire structure, hehe

 It still far from being finished, but I like the progress so far.

A Table.. and stuff

It's been a while since my last post, even though the summer holidays has started for my a week ago. I've been quite buzy with other stuff, but I've been working on some customs on and off.
There's this little lynx I hope to finish. He still has only a base colour.

While looking on the web for miniatures I came across some very lovely room boxes and I got inspired by them. So far I've only made this little table...

I'm thinking about making some sort of Narnian/Beatrix Potter themed house.

And the last thing I've got to share are these cats. They surely need some customization but I don't really now how I should paint them.. Any suggestions?
