Tigers!

Time to upload some repaints agian.

Following the tutorial I also used for the previous tiger I repaint two AAA tigers. Before they were quite yellow and I just like the idea of having more tigers in my collection that look realistic and fit well together.

Here's my whole tiger bunch :D. Except for my little golden tabby tiger...  Anyway, I have another tiger that could do with a better paintwork. Unfortuately, time is not my friend and looking at the time it took for me to post this after the first tiger repaint... I hope to be able to show more in the future ;)

Tiger is finally fully stripped!

Hurray, my little tiger finally has all of it's stripes! It took me some time to finish it but I'm very pleased with the results. All thanks to the tutorial on STS forum :D It looks much better than the original one, but that's mostly the case with modern brand tigers. To give them real realistic stripes during mass production just takes too much time and money. As children toys this is not a problem but for a hobbyist that's aiming for true to natures animals it's different. However, needing to repaint them gave me a nice opportunity to study tigers and it's stripes more resulting in a broader knowledge :D

After all this bla bla I will now give you the pictures, enjoy!

And a fancy picture:
"Am I not the scariest tiger you've seen?"

Finished the two little black herding dogs today. I think they make a cute pair, but below are some pictures so you can see it for yourself ;)

Seal Bay (STS swap gift)

So, some time ago I mentioned I joined the STS swap and once again I failed at uploading up to date pictures...

But here's the finished product! I resculpted the neck, head. tail, mane and some other muscles. I should have some photo's of the process but I can't find it at the moment so I'll post those some other time.

Schipperke

While going through my bodybox in search of somthing to customize I found this little chihuahua by puppy in my pocket, but it was missing it's ear. So I grabbed my dog breed book and turned the pages until I came across a Schipperke. It's a belgian dog breed that is considered to be the smallest herding dog.

The mold's appearance fits the breed quite well. So I started customizing. Here's a WIP picture of the doggie compared to the original.

While waiting for the clay to dry I thought it was sad that the Schipperke was all alone... So I decided to make him a friend : )

The clay is not the one I usually use for sculpting so the results aren't optimal, but I'm happy enough.

Sheepdog and Lynx

I did these small repaints some weeks ago. They were in my bodybox for some time so I'm glad they're finally finished :)

The left one is an Old English Sheepdog, a younger one (the one I mention in this post). And the right one is a lynx (you might remeber). I'm thinking about giving him some nylon hair ear plumes to make him more realistic.

Here's a little close up of the Sheepdog. (wel, it's nog actually a close up... but you can see more details on this picture ;) )

A little update

So after a long time of posting nothing I though it should be time to post something again. I've been working on a tiger repaint using a very neat tutorial on STS. It's almost finished, but the progress is very slowly...

Anyway, here's picture:

Also, just like last year, I joined the STS cm swap so I'll be looking for a good mold to customize. I'm very much looking forward to customizing and seeing all the creative artworks others will create! So stay tuned! (I'll try to upload up-to-date picutes ;) )
