At last, the oldenburg is finally finished, and I'm even pleased with the result. The bay-colour is still a hard colour for me to paint. Especially the depth you want to create by letting the light colour 'shine' through the darker bay colour. But I somehow managed to create it, the first bay horse that looks like a bay (at least, a bay I'm happy with. His name is Innuendo (meaning Lateral hint, indirect reference)
Er staan nu al weer een heel aantal projecten te wachten, waaronder de schleich Friese merrie. Ik weet nog niet precies wat het gaat worden maar waarschijnlijk iets in de buurt van schimmel/dapple grey (misschien nog wel gecombineerd met tobiano...)
There are already loads of other projects waiting in the the body box, one of them is the schleich Frisian mare. I'm not sure what exactly I want to do with her, but it's probably going to be something like white/dapple grey (maybe even combined with tobiano...)
I agree totally that bay is very hard to paint and I think you did very well here. I love the shades and the "warm" look of the paint.
